Our take-back policy
If life happens and you can no longer care for your rabbit for whatever reason, we will take the rabbit back if at all possible. If it is not possible we will help you find a new loving home.

The Basics
Before committing to a Jersey Wooly rabbit, you should know…
- 1They need unlimited access to hay and fresh water, plus a measured amount of high quality rabbit pellets.
- 2Whether housed inside or outside, their sensitive respiratory systems and wool coat require a clean environment. Daily spot cleaning and weekly deep cleaning is recommended.
- 3We hope you love rabbit wool! Woolies aren’t called woolies for nothing. Be prepared for tufts of hair floating around wherever they’re kept, and daily grooming when your rabbit is molting (which typically happens 2-3x/year). It’s part of the magic of owning Woolies. It’s all worth it for the therapeutic feeling of petting that wooly coat after a rough day, for the happy bunny binkies and the “life is good” belly flops.

How old are kits when they come home?
Kits go home at 10 weeks once they are fully weaned and used to being housed alone.
What comes home with them?
At least a week's worth of the pellets they're used to, a care guide, and a pedigree if the rabbit is show quality.
Do you ship, deliver or meet somewhere for pick up?
We do not ship or deliver rabbits. If you cannot pick up in West Michigan where we are located, we may be able to meet up at a rabbit show elsewhere in Michigan.
Are they litter trained?
We start the process here. Most kits are already using a litter box at pick up, but right after pickup, accidents are common due to the change in smells. Consistent training for a couple weeks after pickup is needed.
What if it doesn't work out?
First, communicate with us - we'd love to help troubleshoot. If you really can't keep your rabbit, we'll always take one of our rabbits back if at all possible.
How much work is it to have a rabbit?
You will need to feed hay and check water twice a day, feed pellets once a day, and spot clean your rabbit's litter box (or wherever they use the bathroom most) every day or every other day. A deep clean is needed weekly. Grooming is needed weekly, but if they are molting it is needed daily to prevent wool block. Nail trims should be done once a month. That's it! It may sound like quite a bit, but we would equate the effort level to what it's like having a cat — except the litter box smells WAY better.
Are your rabbits good with kids?
Honestly, we would not recommend rabbits as a pet for children under 5. And with children 5 and over, careful supervision is still required for everyone's safety. Rabbits are prey animals and they do get stressed or scared pretty easily, and when they are scared they can scratch, kick or nip. We have a toddler, and he and the rabbits coexist together peacefully, but we would not allow our toddler to hold or pet the rabbits unless we were confident the rabbit felt secure and wanted to interact with him.
What is the difference between show quality, brood quality, and pet quality rabbits?
Show quality refers to a rabbit who we have evaluated according to the ARBA standard and who we believe would do well on the show table. It may be a junior rabbit who has not been shown yet or may be a senior rabbit with legs (legitimate wins) proving that it is show quality. Either way, we cannot guarantee the outcome of a show quality rabbit on the show table after it leaves our rabbitry. Be assured that we will not list a rabbit as show quality if we would not be proud to show it ourselves.
Brood quality refers to a buck or doe who may not be the best on the show table but who still has good type and would produce nice babies with the right match. Often the animals sold as brood quality are proven, meaning they have sired or raised babies already, but not always.
Pet quality refers to rabbits who cannot be shown or bred due to DQs but would still make nice pets.
How much do your rabbits cost?
Individual rabbit prices vary based on a few factors such as quality, show history, temperament, whether they are proven, etc. Typically we sell show quality juniors (unproven rabbits under 6 months) at $75 and show quality seniors at $100–200. Brood quality rabbits are priced at $100–200 (this reflects the value of a good Jersey Wooly herd buck or brood doe as they truly are the backbone of the rabbitry). Pet quality rabbits or rabbits who can be shown but may be heavily faulted on the show table are priced at $50.
